Bio

Dylan Knowles is a jazz saxophonist and flutist based in the San Antonio and Austin area. A graduate of the Eastman School of Music, Dylan has performed with award-winning artists including Dafnis Prieto, Sara Gazarek, Alexa Tarantino, and Carmen Bradford. His playing blends the rich jazz idioms of South Texas with the modern sensibility of the East Coast scene, creating a sound rooted in tradition while pushing the boundaries of his local jazz community.

Since graduating in May 2024, Dylan has been teaching private lessons and sharing his passion for both jazz and classical music. He also performs weekly in San Antonio and serves as music director and arranger for Fermata, a jazz group led by vocalist Diego Martinez, where he creates both small group performances and big band shows. In May 2024, the group released their debut big band album, With Love.

Dylan has performed at many of Texas’ top venues and events, including Jazz TX, Parker’s Jazz Club, River Sun, Sternewirth at Hotel Emma, the Corpus Christi Jazz Festival, Market Square at Fiesta, Boeing Center at Tech Port, the Witte Museum, and more.
